Our choices or our destiny?

Some people believe in predestiny, others believe in free will and choosing our fates. Are we traveling along a path in life already chosen for us? Or are we constantly changing our future with every action we make?

I believe we are predestined, however, we can't really know what we're predestined to do, so it shouldn't make a difference in our decisions. I think there's no such thing as changing our future because it hasn't happened yet. We each have free will, but God knows what our decisions will be, so it's predestined.

Well, I think our futures are set by our natures. Each person has a different raw material in their original makeup, what some call the soul, that changes because of the obstacles or lack of obstacles presented to it. If someone could know what these raw materials were before the person was born, then it might be possible to know the choices a person would make in life under various circumstances. The point I am getting at is that our choices may be linked in a solid path, but choices are not the thing that makes the largest difference in destiny, it is the environment we are placed into, because that ultimatly decides what our lives will be like.
